What is the MenuDrop creator earnings pilot?
The pilot is designed to share eligible grocery commission revenue with creators whose menus help households shop. Participation requires program approval, a separate earnings agreement, and verified payout setup. It is not an open, guaranteed-income program.
Can I earn money just by publishing a menu?
Publishing helps people discover and use your cooking ideas, but it does not create earnings by itself. Eligible earnings depend on an attributable partner transaction and commission revenue actually received by MenuDrop. Views, follows, saved menus, and shopping-link clicks are not confirmed revenue.
How does a menu become a grocery list?
A household chooses a menu and selects the dishes for its next trip. MenuDrop uses recipe ingredients and the menu’s serving count to prepare quantities, then checks saved pantry coverage. The household reviews the list before shopping. Specific products can also be attached to dishes where a recipe is not needed.
How do menu serving sizes affect recipes?
Changing a menu’s serving count scales the recipe amounts shown in that menu and updates its active grocery trips. The original recipe yield stays intact, and completed trips keep their history. A recipe needs a valid original yield for quantities to scale reliably; missing yields require review rather than guessed amounts.
Do I have to use grocery delivery?
No. You can use the grocery list while shopping yourself and mark the trip complete when you are done. Online shopping is an additional option where available. Retailers and delivery providers control their checkout, availability, substitutions, delivery fees, and final prices.
Does a shopping link mean an order was placed?
No. A link prepares the next step in shopping. The household still reviews products and completes checkout with the provider. MenuDrop does not count a link, click, or return from another site as a completed purchase.
How are creator commissions calculated?
Your accepted earnings agreement specifies your percentage and which commission revenue qualifies. The basis is eligible commission received by MenuDrop, not the household’s entire grocery bill. Partner attribution rules, exclusions, refunds, and reversals affect the final amount. No universal commission rate is promised on this page.
What happens if an order is refunded or cannot be attributed?
A refund or partner correction can reduce earnings, including after a previous payout. A transaction that cannot be reliably matched to a creator remains uncredited while it is reviewed. Your earnings history separates confirmed commissions, adjustments, and completed payouts.
Does a Creator subscription automatically activate earnings?
No. Eligible Creator subscribers can request pilot access, but the subscription does not guarantee acceptance or income. Partner availability, program approval, your earnings agreement, and payout verification are separate requirements. Choose a subscription for its listed product features, not an expected return.
How do I set up payouts?
Invited creators review and accept their individual earnings agreement, then complete the available Stripe-hosted onboarding flow. Stripe collects identity and bank details. Returning to MenuDrop from Stripe does not itself confirm verification; payout readiness must be checked. Live setup opens when the pilot is ready.
When will I be paid?
Your final agreement states the payout minimum, schedule, and permitted holds. Payouts depend on confirmed eligible funds and completed provider verification. A positive displayed balance is not a promise of an immediate bank deposit. Proposed pilot terms are not binding payout commitments.
What happens to earned money if I cancel my subscription?
Cancellation does not erase recorded earnings. Existing balances remain subject to your accepted agreement, documented reversals, and any applicable holds. You can still review your earnings history after your subscription ends.
Do I keep ownership of my recipes and content?
You retain ownership of your original content, subject to the licenses you agree to when publishing. Only upload material you own or have permission to use. The earnings pilot should not be treated as a separate permission to copy other creators’ photos or recipe instructions. Review the actual agreement before joining.
What should I disclose when promoting a menu?
Make any affiliate or sponsorship relationship clear alongside the relevant recommendation, including when you share it outside MenuDrop. A disclosure buried in a profile or a separate terms page may not give readers the context they need. Check the program requirements and the rules that apply to your promotion.
How can I get started while the pilot is being prepared?
Build a complete menu, check its recipe yields and ingredients, publish content you have rights to share, and help a household use it for a real grocery trip. Visit your earnings page to request pilot access if eligible. These steps improve the usefulness of your channel without assuming that commissions are already available.
