Who is responsible

Viralize Technology Inc. operates MenuDrop. For privacy questions, access, correction, or deletion requests, email contact@viralizetechnology.com. We may need to verify control of your account before responding; do not send passwords or full payment details.

Information we process

Account information includes your account identifier, email, sign-in details, and any profile name, avatar, biography, or links you provide. Service information includes household membership, invitations, recipes and source links, menus, pantry and grocery lists, votes, follows, posts, uploaded media, reports, and your policy or creator-agreement acceptances.

We also process technical and transaction information needed to run the service: request and security logs, device/browser information, timestamps, feature-use events, subscription status, payment-provider identifiers, shopping handoffs, and attribution or reconciliation records. Payment and payout providers collect card, bank, and identity details in their own hosted flows; do not send those details to MenuDrop support.

How and why we use it

We use information to authenticate you, operate household and publishing features, process subscription entitlements and shopping handoffs, provide support, investigate reports and abuse, maintain security and reliability, and understand feature use. We keep records needed for billing, dispute handling, and applicable legal obligations.

Optional browser analytics is off unless you enable it in Privacy settings. If enabled, PostHog receives limited page and feature-use events associated with your account identifier when signed in. We disable automatic click recording and session replay, and omit page query strings and fragments. Separately, operational service events and security or billing records may be processed on the server; the browser analytics choice does not disable records needed to operate the service.

Sharing and service providers

We use providers including Supabase for authentication, database and storage; Vercel for hosting; Stripe for payments and, where enabled, creator onboarding; and PostHog for configured analytics. Providers process information to support these services and may process it outside your country.

When you request a grocery handoff, selected shopping information is sent to the shopping provider, such as Instacart. Following a recipe source or other external link connects you to that website. Their privacy practices apply to their services.

Content marked public is visible to other people and may be indexed by search engines. Household content is available to household members. Reports are available to authorized reviewers; private report notes are not published to the reported creator. We may disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect people and the service, resolve disputes, or carry out a business transfer subject to applicable protections.

Cookies, choices, and retention

Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security, authentication destinations, invitation and sharing attribution, and your preferences. Optional analytics may use separate identifiers only after you enable it. You can change the browser analytics choice on this page at any time; the choice is specific to this browser.

You can edit your profile and visibility in the app. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, or to exercise privacy rights applicable in your location. We retain information as needed for the purposes above, including active account operations, security, disputes, and legal obligations. Deleted data may remain temporarily in backups or required records; existing copies held by other users or external sites cannot necessarily be recalled.

We use access controls and other safeguards, but no system guarantees absolute security. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information or you discover a security issue, contact us. We will update this notice when our practices change and identify the updated version.
